How We Use Your Personal Information

The purposes for which we use your information and the legal basis under data protection laws on which we rely to do this are explained below.

Account setup, verification and management

We use personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and information about your device to set up and administer your account, provide technical and Player support and training, verify your identity, process payment information and send important account and service information.

We may use and process your personal information where you have consented for us to do so. This includes

  • Sharing your precise geolocation with us so we can ensure that we are authorised to provide the Services to you in your location pursuant to our terms and conditions.
  • Contacting you with marketing information about our services if you have (i) registered for an account with us online and (where we don’t have another basis to contact you) indicate that you would like to receive such marketing from us; (ii) sign up to our newsletter service or emails via our pp or other medium where available; or (iii) when you refresh your marketing preferences and provide a consent when responding to a request from us to do so.

We may use and process your personal information where it is necessary for us to pursue our legitimate interests as a business, or that of a third-party, for the following purposes

  • for marketing activities (other than where we rely on your consent to contact you by email or text with information about our products and services or share your details with third parties to do the same);
  • for analysis to inform our marketing strategy, and to enhance and personalise your Player experience (including to improve the recommendations we make to you on our Website and our App);
  • to correspond or communicate with you;
  • to verify the accuracy of data that we hold about you and create a better understanding of you as a Player;
  • for network and information security in order for us to take steps to protect your information against loss or damage, theft or unauthorised access;
  • for prevention of fraud and other criminal activities;
  • to comply with a request from you in connection with the exercise of your rights (for example where you have asked us not to contact you for marketing purposes, we will keep a record of this on our suppression lists in order to be able to comply with your request);
  • to assess and improve our service to Players through recordings of any calls with our contact centres;
  • for the management of queries, complaints, or claims; and
  • for the establishment and defence of our legal rights.

We will use your personal information to comply with our legal obligations. We may be required to use and retain personal information (i) for legal and compliance reasons, such as the prevention, detection, or investigation of a crime; or fraud; (ii) to identify you when you contact us; and (iii) to verify the accuracy of data we hold about you.

We will verify your age and accuracy of your registration details, including disclosure of such information to third parties e.g. financial institutions and third-party reference agencies. This is required for the purpose of our complying with our legal obligations.

We may also use personal information to meet our internal and external audit requirements, information security purposes, and as we otherwise believe to be necessary or appropriate under applicable law, which may include laws outside your country of residence, and also to respond to requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and other public and government authorities, which may include such authorities outside your country of residence.

Your information may be converted into statistical or aggregated data in such a way as to ensure that you are not identified or identifiable from it. Aggregated data cannot be linked back to you as a natural person. We may use this data for analytical and research purposes.

Debit card payment processors

When you purchase any products or services online, your debit card payment is processed by a third-party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.

Player satisfaction surveys

As Player satisfaction is important to us, we may ask a third-party research company to contact you for the sole purpose of gathering general information and specific information relating to us and our products and services.

Where We Store Your Personal Information

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers which are located within the European Economic Area (EEA). If at any time we transfer your personal information to, or store it in, countries located outside of the EEA (for example, if our hosting services provider changes) we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for that transfer and storage as required by applicable law. This is because some countries outside of the EEA do not have adequate data protection laws equivalent to those in the EEA.

If you use our services whilst you are outside the EEA, your information may be transferred outside the EEA in order to provide you with those services.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information For

We will retain personal information for as long as we reasonably require it for legal or business purposes. Please note that we may be required in certain circumstances to retain your information indefinitely (for example under our procedures on responsible gambling and self-exclusion). We will take all necessary steps to ensure that the privacy of information is maintained for the period of retention If you have signed up to receive email marketing from us we will store your personal information for as long as you are subscribed to our email list even if your account has closed. If you unsubscribe or your subscription expires because you do not interact with our marketing emails for over 7 years we will keep your email on our suppression to ensure we do not send you email If you have contacted us with a complaint or query we will store your personal information for as long as is reasonably required to resolve your complaint or query.

The only exceptions to the above are where:

  • we may need your personal information to establish, bring or defend legal claims or to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement;
  • the law requires us to hold your personal information for a longer period, or delete it sooner;
  • you exercise your right to have the information erased (where it applies) and we do not need to hold it in connection with any of the reasons permitted or required under the law (see further Erasing your personal information or restricting its processing below); or
  • in limited cases, the law permits us to keep your personal information indefinitely provided we put certain protections in place.

When it is no longer necessary to retain your data, we will delete the personal information that we hold about you from our systems. After that time, we may aggregate the data (from which you cannot be identified) and retain it for analytical purposes.

Here you will find information on what cookies may be set when you visit our Site and the purposes for which we use those cookies.

By continuing to use this Site, you are agreeing to our use of cookies in the manner described in this policy.

What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your browser or the hardware of your computer or other device to allow a Website to recognise you as a user when you return to the Website , either for the duration of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeat visits (a ‘persistent cookie’). Other similar files work in the same way and we use the word ‘cookie’ in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

Cookies are an extremely common technology for remembering certain information about a visitor to a Website. We use cookies for the following purposes:

Strictly necessary cookies

These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Site.

Analytical cookies

They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our Site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

Functionality cookies

These are used to recognise you when you return to our Site and to embed functionality from third-party services. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name, and remember your preferences and to integrate useful services provided by third-party providers into our Site.

Advertising cookies

These cookies record your visit to our Site, the pages you have visited on our Site and others and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make the advertising displayed to you more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose. This Cookie Policy gives you information on the specific cookies used on this Site.

How to Control And Delete Cookies

If you continue to use the Site, more cookies and other tracking technologies will be placed on your computer as described in this Cookie Policy in order to enhance your user experience whilst on the Site. By continuing to use the Site, you are agreeing to the use of such cookies and tracking technology.

Alternatively, you may wish to visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org which contains comprehensive information on how to do this on a wide variety of browsers. You will also find details on how to delete cookies from your computer, as well as more general information about cookies. Please note that, as these websites are not owned or operated by us, we are not responsible for any of the content on them.
